Use the covariant return type feature of C# 9 to allow method overrides to be more specific about their return type. By exposing this information, e.g. for Widget.Clone(), callers will have more information. This allows various casts to be removed as the information is now available within the type system.
This allows the LINQ spelling to be used, but benefits from the performance improvement of the specific methods for these classes that provide the same result.
- Consuming methods cared only about the count and not the actual actors, so only counts the actors rather that creating lists.
- ProvidesPrerequisites implementations return cached objects rather then allocating new enumerables on each call.
Alpha can specify a single value for the sequence
or values for each frame in the sequence.
AlphaFade: True can be specified to linearly fade
to transparent over the length of the animation.
- Distinguish between missing sequences and missing sprites
- Lint default sequences as well as maps
- Improved performance
- Correctly handle null images
- Removed implicit pip definitions and IPips interface.
New decoration traits have been added to render them.
Pip types are no longer hardcoded in OpenRA.Game.
- Decoration rendering is now managed by SelectionDecorations(Base),
which allows us to remove assumptions about the selection box
geometry from the decoration traits.
- RenderNameTag has been replaced by WithNameTagDecoration, which is
an otherwise normal decoration trait.
- Unify the configuration and reduce duplication between traits.
- Removed hardcoded references to specific selection box renderables.
- Remove legacy cruft.
